About Me

Thank you for visiting!

I’m an Anthropology PhD candidate, science communicator and conservationist from the UK. Currently living in Toronto, Canada.

Currently I am an Evolutionary Anthropology PhD candidate at the University of Toronto, working in the Professor Shawn Lehman’s TREE (Tropical Research in Edge Effects) Lab. In my research I am hoping to look at the more closely at the behavioural ecology and stress in lemurs. In addition to this I also work as a TA (teaching assistant) at UofT on various undergraduate courses.

In 2016 i completed my BSc Zoo Biology degree and in 2018 my MSc Endangered Species Recovery and Conservation degree, both from Nottingham Trent University. My MSc research focused on the impact of anthropogenic disturbance on both the behaviour and habitat preference for two species of lemur in Northwest Madagascar (see my thesis here). From this i have been involved in various lemur related research projects across Madagascar. In addition to this i am also a Science Communication Volunteer for Lemur Conservation Network. A network of over 60 organisations working together to support lemur conservation.

I am a lover of all things nature, conservation, and travel with a particular passion for primates, lemurs, Madagascar and zoo science/conservation.
